I am currently a third-year student studying finance, investment and risk ant Glasgow Caledonian university. The intent of this letter is to show my enthusiasm towards the opportunity of studying my course while being submerged in a different culture. This experience is one that I am very passionate about studying abroad enabling not only continuing my work in another classroom but also immerse myself in a way of living that is abnormal compared to mine in Glasgow.it is a belief of mine that being entrenched in another environment whilst studying will be crucial for both my personal growth and educational.
The prospect of being able to continue my course in another country sounds life changing, something I have long deeply considered especially after seeing the improvements in my own growth after completing 2 summers in a different country for work purposes during my time off from studying throughout the summer. Conversating with my peers who had previously went on this exposition has only further amplified my enthusiasm to be part of this exchange and gain new perspectives whilst expanding my knowledge in finance within an environment of likeminded people whose first language differs from mine.
One main reason studying abroad interests me is to purely enhance my global perspective, where I will interact with those with differing viewpoints. In today’s day and age being able to understand diverse viewpoints is crucial for my success both personally and professionally in the financial world. Conversing with those from different backgrounds will not only broaden my knowledge, it’ll also allow me to contribute my unique experiences to discussions.
The idea of sharing my own culture and experiences with peers in the program motivates me in writing this letter. The exchange offers diverse cultures to showcase the unique and differences between each individual participating. It is a belief of mine that the mutual exchanges between peers enriches the learning environment and fosters a deeper understanding among students. With the main aim being completing 3rd year abroad, the prospect of creating new lifelong connections motivates me.
Being in a country different to my own will push me to develop on my adaptability to different environments and resilience to being out with my comfort zone. No doubt living in a different country will present numerous challenges, to me I view these as challenges that will enhance my academic and personal growth, I am committed to growing and stepping out of my comfort zone.
Thank you for considering my application
