Events
Each year, BUTEX organises a range of popular events for professionals involved in student exchange and study abroad.
Ranging from half and full day workshops to a yearly annual conference, our events are always an excellent opportunity to increase your knowledge base, learn about new initiatives, discuss current issues within Study Abroad, share best practice and simply to meet colleagues working within the field.
BUTEX events are only open for Members to attend.
BUTEX Winter Workshop 2024
Each year we hold a virtual Winter Workshop which is a free one day event for BUTEX members to attend.
An in person event prior to Covid, post pandemic it was decided to keep it as a virtual event to provide a free, fully accessible event for all of our members to attend.
The event takes place in late November/early December each year and comprises a number of sessions presented throughout the day by our members and sometimes external speakers, exploring the international mobility sector and current topics of interest.
This year the event will take place on Thursday 28th November 2024.
BUTEX Annual Conference 2025
The Butex Annual Conference in 2025 will be held at the University of Hull from 2nd – 4th April 2025.
The conference will take place over three days consisting of presentations, networking sessions, campus tours and informal and formal dinners. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet colleagues old and new in the sector and build relationships.
The event is only open to BUTEX members to attend.
