My name is Lynah, and I’m an undergraduate student at the University of Sharjah, majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing. I plan to study abroad in the UK for one semester during the Fall 2025 term. While I haven’t yet confirmed my host university, I am in the process of applying and preparing all requirements through my university’s Study Abroad Office.
This opportunity is more than just travel—it’s a way to challenge myself in new academic environments, experience cultural diversity firsthand, and grow personally and professionally. I’m excited to explore business practices in the UK, improve my communication skills, and meet students from different parts of the world.
I meet all the BUTEX eligibility requirements. I have a valid university email address. This will be my only application for this funding round. I’m currently an enrolled undergraduate student and will continue my studies during the exchange. My placement will take place in 2025, the same calendar year I’m applying. The study abroad program will be one full semester overseas, not a summer school or short-term visit. I’m not a graduate, and I fully understand I must not submit more than one application.
This scholarship would help me reduce the financial pressure and allow me to fully focus on making the most of my exchange experience—academically, socially, and personally.
