In The Language Of The World

In this world we don’t just say “save our home”, but we say:
Nature gives her hardest battles to her strongest soldiers. You know that phrase, right?
This quote often mixed with so many global complications,
This phrase that echoes in me and quiets my frustrations.
For yes, the journey abroad is all about wonder and chance,
But it is also about witnessing a fragile, fading dance.
And let me tell you, ladies and gentlemen, awareness will arrive when it must.
Even when the skies look gray and the ground turns to dust,
This global connection will quickly become your anchor and trust.
Without this green earth, I cannot live, I cannot sleep,
For my nights are filled with worries, running too deep.
A mix of hot tears for the forests we lose,
And memories of the diverse cultures and horizons I chose.
The wind from my travels is the storm that clears my mind,
And my heart beats for the people and places left behind.
We walked hand in hand, from the North to the South,
With hope in our steps and a promise in our mouth.
Ladies and gentlemen, here is a glimpse of what I call our shared history.
To some eyes, sustainability is just a temporary mystery,
To my eyes, it gives me a reason to believe in our victory.
And I hope we will learn to love this Earth for eternity,
Because it is said: “We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children” And even if tomorrow fades, I will fight to heal its sorrow.
