Membership
Full membership of BUTEX is open to any university, college or institution situated within the UK, which is accredited as providing recognised UK degree courses.
Associate membership is available to any company, association or overseas educational institution involved in student mobility.
This is an opportunity to connect with over eighty higher education institutions and other industry partners in the UK that have a shared interest in learning abroad to collaborate and exchange information, to develop expertise and to influence the future of international education.
For all universities, colleges or institutions in the UK providing recognised degree courses, we have the full membership option available. We also have an Inbound Forum only option for those organisations who only wish to join BUTEX in an inbound student context. For any company, association or overseas educational institution involved in student mobility, we now have two associate membership options available. The gold tier gives associate members the same benefits as full membership, while the silver tier provides a more cost effective option to those who do not require the use of all of BUTEX’s services.

A number of scholarships are available to students from BUTEX institutions studying abroad. Further scholarships are also available to international students studying for a semester at BUTEX institutions.
Connect with experienced and knowledgeable BUTEX affiliated colleagues on a wide range of issues in order to share best practice, seek advice, or discuss new developments in international education.
The BUTEX Biennial International Conference is a three-day event which combines plenary lectures, pre-conference workshops and panel sessions. The Summer Forum is a two day event with a mixed programme of sessions.
Participants focus on special-interest topics in-depth at our full and half-day workshops whilst our guest speaker programme brings professionals from a range of external agencies and organisations to update members on current issues of importance.
BUTEX members have access to a booth in the exhibition and can participate in BUTEX networking events.
Our collaboration with these bodies ensures that BUTEX members have an important voice at governmental and national level.
