My thoughts on Eco- friendly travel that align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and which contribute to a cleaner environment to ensure an international placement will consist of making sure I respect the rules and regulation of the country I am travelling to, meaning to follow their local cultures and traditions and try to understand their culture so that I am doing my best to showcase respect along the course of my journey . There was a time I was on a holiday overseas, I made sure to support local businesses and I learnt the cultural heritage through their clothes, food and music and I got to find myself so at peace knowing we are all the same people who needs love and respect.
There was a time I travelled abroad and I minimised waste by carrying a tiny bag to put the dirty I used during the course of my journey outside and disposed of it when I saw the bin which made me feel contended and pleased knowing I am not out there throwing dirty around the street, also I have been able to minimise an eco-friendly travel by using a reusable water bottle , shopping bag and utensils , I was very mindful about that making sure I am preserving getting new utensils and new bags and water, it saves me time and money which I would carry on during this trip or future trips.
While in the hotel I was staying during my course of time there, I made sure I was prepared to continue what I do at home by turning off the light when not in use, turning off the air conditioner when not in use, and reusing a towel as much as possible when not dirty . Which will continue during this course too.
Additionally, I have supported local communities of people gathering by the hotels selling locally produced goods and I made sure their products was not about exploiting the animals and harming the natural ecosystems by asking them questions and making sure it was pure organic products and locally sourced foods . Which will continue during this and another course of trip in the future too.
To make sure I am fully prepared I have taken the time to educate myself on their tribe, culture and also how to carry out a sustainable travel practice so that I am well prepared ahead of time too, these shows my commitment to promoting a more responsible and sustainable approach to my sincerity on carrying out a well eco-friendly travel.
My approach to travel will always be guided by a strong sense of environmental responsibility because my aim is to preserve natural resources, support local businesses, communities and making sure I contribute to a cleaner , safe, healthier environment
