To Travel Responsibly In Britain

Travel has always been something I value, not just for the chance to see new places, but for the opportunity to learn from different cultures and perspectives. At the same time, I recognize that international travel can have a significant environmental impact. As I prepare to Study Abroad in Scotland, I am going to make a conscious effort to keep sustainability in mind when making my decisions. Some of the ways I plan on doing this is by practicing Eco-Friendly travel options, like choosing to use public transportation, like Train-Lines, Cycling, or even walking when I can; instead of taking car trips. Alongside this when I must travel by air I can try to avoid unnecessary flights, by choosing direct routes to limit my carbon footprint. I also can look to support local businesses and avoid single-use items like plastic water bottles & bags and instead pack reusable items like reusable water bottles and tote bags. These small choices can add up over time and help me to contribute in a meaningful way to both the environment and the local economy. My goal is to make my international experience in Scotland not just enriching for me, but also to act responsibly so that I can leave even a small positive impact back while I am there.
