In Seoul’s bright heart where mountains guard the town,
I came as Mario, Business student still,
From Liverpool John Moores to Kyung Hee’s ground,
To learn how systems serve both place and will.
Each morning brought the steady beat of feet
Along the paths that wove through green and steel;
The subway moved like blood with measured heat,
And taught me motion need not break or steal.
One afternoon a friend and I climbed high
Into the folds of green that Seoul still keeps;
We spoke of balance underneath the sky
While conversation flowed like mountain streams.
At market stalls and tables shared with grace,
Locals revealed their culture’s quiet art:
How food is honoured, seasons set the pace,
And nothing useful ever leaves apart.
I sorted waste the way my neighbours do,
With care that turns the old into the new;
My daily runs now clear my mind and view
Of what responsible management can pursue.
This journey showed that business finds its worth
When culture, care, and planet share the stage;
I carry home a deeper sense of earth
And how we lead across each shifting age.
The scholarship’s true gift is this exchange:
We travel lighter when we truly see
That every border crossed can help arrange
A future built on shared sustainability.
